"I made a career out of getting people to tell me the truth, now it's my turn". After seeking shelter in Canada as a Vietnam draft refugee, Leonard Fife grew into an acclaimed documentary filmmaker by devoting his life to narrating explosive truth stories like the use of napalm in the Vietnam war, illegal seal hunting, and Church pedophilia—bold investigations that earned him an aura of heroism.  

However, as his life comes to an end, he wishes to settle the score with himself and seek redemption for the many questionable life choices that weigh on his conscience, making him neither a Canadian myth nor an American patriot.
